Even the ‘Italianissimo’ Espresso can be tempted by the American dream. When a bigger cup of coffee is in order, an Espresso teams up with boiling water and is served in whatever quantity one wants, transforming into a drink to be enjoyed over time, and sipped at any time of day.

  1. Prepare the Espresso in a small cup.
  2. Fill a cappuccino cup with hot water (about 190° F, or 90° C) and add as much of the Espresso as you prefer. Serve. Alternately, you can prepare the European version of the Americano: extract the Espresso directly into a cappuccino cup and add as much hot water (190° F, or 90° C) as you prefer.
