illy Gallery is an on-going timed event, a happening that’s adjourned in one venue in some place of the world, and then gets going again in another venue in some other place. These venues are places where visitors and patrons can get to know all the products, forms of expression, passions and people that go to make up the world of illy, places where they can experience and get a rare taste of things beautiful and rich in flavour, and discover art and culture at their best.
 
After stopping off in New York in 2005 and Milan in 2006, the illy Gallery journey will continue this year in Trieste to mark illy’s seventy-fifth birthday celebrations. A calendar chockfull of exciting events given over to art, literature, science and gastronomy is scheduled to kick off in the Auction Hall (Salone degli Incanti) of the former metropolitan Fish-market (ex-Pescheria) on 26 September and will run through to 11 October. There will also be daily connoisseur-tasting courses organised by illy’s Coffee University. illy thus intends offering the city that saw its inception an extraordinary opportunity to celebrate together its diamond anniversary.
 
illy Gallery will premier Friday, 26 September, and will be open to the general public daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. beginning Saturday, 27 September.
