Our idea of sustainability relies on three key factors. 1. Economic sustainability achieved by developing a shared value, from farmer to consumer; 2. Social sustainability based on the concept of individual growth and self-fulfillment; 3. Environmental sustainability rooted in protection of our habitat.
Every year we acknowledge the commitment of our producers with the Ernesto Illy International Coffee Award for our best sustainable harvests. In 2018, coffee grown in Rwanda by the Ngororero Coffee Washing Station, represented by Philotée Mukiza, was selected by an international jury of experts as the “Best of the Best”.
