Official Circolo illy Buren illy Art Collection Contest Rules

The following contest is intended for United States residents only and shall only be construed according to United States Law.  No purchase necessary to enter the contest.  A purchase will not improve an individual's chance of winning. 

Term:
Circolo illy’s Buren illy Art Collection Contest begins May 18, 2012 and ends midnight Eastern Standard Time (EST) June 21, 2012.  By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest and states that he/she is at least 18 years old

Who may enter: United States residents 18 years or older—except for employees, interns and consultants of illy caffè North America, illycaffè SpA and their immediate families (spouses, children, siblings and parents)—are eligible.  Circolo illy will determine winners’ eligibility at its sole discretion.

Types of photographs to enter: Photographs in in JPEG, PNG, or GIF format, 14 MB limit.  Photographs must be your original work. Photographs that have been published in magazines or newspapers (except online) or that have won other contests are not eligible. A winning photograph is defined as one that has won a grand prize or 1st , 2nd or 3rd place.  Photographs that violate a copyright or another person’s or party’s rights are not eligible. For a photo in which a person is recognizable, you must secure a model release from the person or from the person’s parents or guardian if he/she is a minor.

Photographs should depict a scene of “an illy moment in a different light” that conveys drama and creativity, and must include a title with optional short description of the scene.

How to enter: Photos must be submitted online through the Circolo illy “Moments” function which can be found in the top navigation menu of the Circolo illy website www.circolo.illy.com or accessed via the member profile. Entries must include “______in a New Light” in the title of the submission, for example: “My morning coffee in a new light”. Membership in the Circolo illy online community is mandatory in order to submit a photo.

By entering the contest, entrants grant illycaffè a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any purpose whatsoever. illycaffè will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.

Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, voice, biographical information and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation.

Entry deadline: All photographs must be received through the Circolo illy website by midnight Eastern Standard Time (EST) June  21, 2012.

Judging: Judging of the winning photographs will be conducted by the community manager and editors of Circolo illy. Decisions of the judges will be final.

Five winners will be selected, one per week from May 24, 2012 through June 28, 2012. On each day the entire body of entries will be considered with the exception of photos that have already been selected as a previous week’s winner.

The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. illycaffè reserves the right to modify these rules at its discretion or to cancel the contest. Decisions by illycaffè will be final.

Prizes:  Each winner will receive an illy Art Collection cup set by Daniel Buren with an approximate value of $225.  The cup sets will be sent to winners by mail approximately 4 weeks after notification.

Winners are responsible for paying any taxes they may owe on a prize.

Winners will be notified by email. If winner does not respond within 48 hours the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. If winner cannot accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
