Harmony through variety

A piece of music written for illy by the world-renowned pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi and made out of 9 tunes, just like the 9 aromas and tastes of coffee. The 9 parts that can be enjoyed either separately or all together, like in a symphony.

THE ART

How tiny gets huge

An installation created for illy by the artist Alistair McClymont summarizes the whole experience: a drop of coffee floating in the middle of a room. The very essence of coffee, captured while balancing through space and time.

Tastes like richness

9 varieties of Arabica sourced from all over the world; 9 aromas and tastes perfectly blended into a cup of illy, where caramel, chocolate, toasted bread, flowery, fruity, smokey, bitter, sweet and acid notes resonate with each other.
