Restaurant LAZZARO 1915
Pontelongo
1 Michelin star and Green star
Chef Piergiorgio Siviero owns the Lazzaro 1915 restaurant in Pontelongo (Padova), which boasts one Michelin star, and since 2020, the Michelin Green Star that symbolizes sustainability.
Piergiorgio’s cuisine is both cultured and sincere, with painstaking attention to ingredients, the way they are handled, and flavours, and with a great awareness of the sustainability of his restaurant enterprise. His cooking rests upon solid foundations, which he honed working in great restaurants both in Italy and abroad: with Aimo and Nadia Moroni in Milan, Alain Ducasse in Paris, and Frank Cerruti at le Louis XV restaurant in Monte Carlo.
Upon returning home in 2005 he embarked on a new challenge: taking over the family restaurant and hotel, Albergo Trieste.
As we have said, Siviero can boast of two major awards in his résumé. But knowing him, the Michelin Green Star he was awarded in 2020 for his attention to sustainability is just as important to him than the Michelin star he already had for his cooking: these are the two main passions of his life.
