There are not many couples worldwide that can boast a gastronomic pedigree like that of Rupert Blease and his wife Carrie, owners of the legendary Lord Stanley restaurant in Nob Hill, San Francisco. Carrie accompanied Rupert all over Europe and the United States, where he cooked in such renowned restaurants as Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons in Oxford, Per Se Restaurant in New York City, the Blue Hill in Greenwich Village, the Central Kitchen in San Francisco and the Commonwealth Restaurant in Boston.
Blease arrived at Lord Stanley restaurant with a trove of international experience that helped him create his own idea of cuisine based on the inspiration he drew from his travels and his work in the most disparate kitchens, with a blend of ingredients, aromas, flavours and sensations that make his cooking unique and incomparable.
