Love the machine but a bit disappointed
The X1 iperEspresso is a nice looking machine and makes great coffee. The reason why I’m giving a 4 star rating is because when making a regular coffee, the temperature of the coffee is way too low. We tried changing the setting but the coffee still doesn’t come out hot enough. It’s too bad because I love everything else about the machine!

Review #2 After 1.5 Years With X1
The last review I left was after 3 weeks with the machine. Now I am familiar with it and figured I'd give a 2nd review after nearly 2 years with it.
Yes, it can make drip coffee, but as others have stated, for some reason, it definitely does not come out as hot as the Espresso shots. If you are thinking of this machine, think of it as an Espresso machine first and foremost, and if you have a guest that likes/insists on Coffee, the taste is great, but your cup may need a warm-up in the microwave if they want it "hot."
As far as Espresso, it's great. The iperEspresso pods are convenient and I live close to a Sur La Table, so I can get new canisters pretty easily. With that said, the pods are packed from Illy with about 7 grams of Espresso. If you are used to frequenting boogie/hipster coffee shops, like I enjoy 3-4 times per week, they on average pack 9 grams in each shot (nearly 20 grams total in a Latte, or traditional Macchiato as they usually have 2 shots in them), so you are definitely getting more "buzzed" from their offerings as opposed to having to pull nearly 3 shots from my Illy machine to get the same effect.
Haven't used the steam wand much, but the couple times I've used it, it's worked effectively.
Of course, the build quality is great and it looks nice on the countertop.
So far, so good. Would like to try the new ESE version sometime in the near future.

Stopped working.
I bought this and loved it. Despite the drip coffee not being hot, it was great. Then randomly after using it for a week, it stopped being able to pull a full cup of coffee. Will be returning.
