Great Bar aroma, every morning!
After years enjoys cans of Illy Intenso capsules, I decided to give the Classico ones a try, to appreciate the differences between the two types.
I can confirm that Classico is way more gentle and smooth on the tongue, showing a rich and well balanced taste. At the same time, the unmistakable aroma of the blend makes the Classico easy to recognize as one of Illy lineup's products with closed eyes, starting from the first sip. I did not recognize major differences between the two types, instead, for what concerns the creaminess of the upper layer that generates inside the Espresso cup. Smell is good too, at each stage: I love to smell the capsule (as extracted from the package) before brewing my Espresso, then to close my eyes and enjoy the scent coming from the cup (before taking the first sip) and then to keep the cup next to my nose (while enjoying the Espresso); also in this case, at each stage, you can recognize the Classico to be smoother and less 'tough' than the Intenso.
One last comment, concerning the individually wrapped capsules: they are easy to open, preserve the status of the capsule well (thanks to the protected atmosphere present in each) and allow an easy recycle of the wrap.
PS: still brewing espresso on my old FrancisFrancis for Illy machine (pouring it into warmed cups): years pass, capsules' design follows its natural evolution, but the 'red vintage lady' keeps doing a great job!

These little wonders are excellent as we can reuse the tin containers that I first received and then i only open up and refill the tin with these little individually wrap, easy to open pods. smart way to help our planet!

Different Coffee
After buying this for 8 years my last two shipments were not what I had come to expect from Illy. The flavor seemed old and very acidic, not smooth and easy on my stomach as before. I'm disappointed and I really hope the problem will be fixed soon.

Mixed Results
I purchased this machine about a month ago - sometime the machine really struggles with the pods (it just trickles). My guess is that there is product variation in the pods that causes this - some lots work well and others do not. I ordered some more different samples to see if I get better results...
