illy sustainArt was founded in 2007 to broaden the boundaries of contemporary art by providing opportunities to discover and showcase promising new talent from developing countries: voices that often struggle to be heard.

The program shines a particularly bright light on artists from coffee producing countries, where illy now sustains cultural communities alongside the farming communities it has long nurtured.

In a short period of time, illy sustainArt has emerged as a strong thread tying together artists, curators and other professionals in the art world.  At heart, the program is a growing network with mechanisms for discovery of talent, for introductions to potential patrons and for showcasing work.
