My cup had no odor?? Dont know what that review was about? All new plastic smells like new plastic, not coffee, until you put coffee in it the 1st time.
It does fit the cup holder in my car. This travel cup hold about 1&1/2 cups of liquid. Too small for me but I needed a coffee drinkers gift, so shipped in a gift bag with expresso. Lucky friend getting that will love it.
