Bodum® Chambord French Press - 8 Cups

Design Profile: The Bodum Chambord French Press Coffee Maker is a classic representation of Bodum's dedication to high-quality, traditional coffee brewing. Designed in the 1950s, the Chambord retains its timeless appeal and remains a favorite for coffee enthusiasts who appreciate form and function.

The Chambord French Press features a borosilicate glass carafe that is resistant to heat and doesn't alter or impair the coffee's natural taste. The frame and lid are made from durable stainless steel and chrome-plated for a lustrous finish that resists wear and tear. The three-part stainless steel plunger and fine mesh filter system ensure that the essential oils from the coffee grounds are delivered directly to your cup while leaving the grounds behind.

What Is French Press Coffee? The Bodum Chambord French Press brews up to eight cups of coffee (34 ounces) using the French press method. This involves steeping coarse coffee grounds in hot water and pressing the plunger to separate the grounds from the liquid, delivering a full-bodied and aromatic coffee. The precision of the filter system ensures that the coffee grounds are fully immersed and extracted, resulting in a rich and highly aromatic brew. The plunger's design prevents over-extraction, which can cause bitterness.

The Chambord French Press is easy to use. To brew coffee, add coarsely ground coffee to the carafe, pour in hot water, let it steep, and then press the plunger slowly to filter the coffee. Its classic design and reliable performance make it a preferred choice for coffee lovers who appreciate a hands-on approach to brewing. The Chambord French Press can also brew hot tea using loose tea leaves.
