O-ring compatible with the Francis Francis X1 Classic, X5 Classic, or X3 Classic machines. The o-ring seals the top of the handle to the group head, whether you are utilizing the ground coffee handle or ESE pod handle. If you are using a pod handle the o-ring fits around the top of the pod.
If you are using a ground coffee handle the o-ring presses into a groove in the lower part of the two part tamper. SH70 RED SILICONE OR D.42 T=4

Seems just right
I just installed the O-ring in a FrancisFrancis X-5 and it is best to say it is breaking in. I am not getting a leak from the porta-filter and that is good but I want to see how long the O-ring will perform well. So, my rating may ultimately be 5 stars.

Product good, OK delivery, but wrong part ordered
Thought I was ordering the gasket for the larger basket because website description not very clear. Found out since that the part I need is not in stock, so maybe that's why it didn't appear on website. Delivery time average.

Fast delivery
I needed to replace the O-ring on my X1 machine and Illy had it in stock. The issue is that i was chrged $7.99 shipping for a item that could have been mailed for less than 60 cents! Sometimes, brains do not prevail. The only place that had it was Illy and I had no choice.
I won't be buying from them again. I buy my coffee pods from Amazon so I can avoid Illy!
