THE DESIGNER
Giulio Iacchetti is an industrial designer since 1992 and the creator of the new Alessi travel mug. His designs are highly sought after, and his portfolio of work includes collaborations with various brands, including Abet Laminati, Alessi, Artemide, Ceramiche Refin, Danese, Fontana Arte, Foscarini, Magis, Moleskine, Pandora design and more.
A distinctive characteristic of his work is the research and definition of new object types, like the Moscardino, a biodegradable spoon/fork utensil.
In 2009, Giulio was awarded the Prize for Innovation Award “Premio dei Premi” by the President of Italy for the Eureka Coop project, in which he brought his Moscardino design to the large-scale retail trade.
In May 2009, the Milan Triennale hosted a solo exhibition entitled "Giulio Iacchetti. Disobedient objects ”.
Always attentive to the evolution of the relationship between artisan reality and design, in November 2012 he launched Internoitaliano, the "factory network" made up of many artisan craftsman with whom he signs and produces furniture and accessories inspired by Italian fashion and the Italian way of living.
