The new illy coffee cups dedicated to Expo 2015 and its mascot

Trieste, February 27, 2015 – illycaffè, the Official Partner of Expo 2015 for the creation and management of content, exhibitions and events dedicated to coffee within the Coffee Cluster space, presents the official collection of coffee cups decorated with Foody, the endearing event mascot designed by Disney Italy.

Foody and the eleven characters, that he is composed of, are the stars of the illy-branded cups: Arabella – the orange, Josephine – the banana, Gury – the watermelon, Pomina – the apple, Max Mais – the ear of blue corn, Guagliò – the garlic, Manghy – the mango, Rodolfo – the fig, Piera – the pear, Rap Brothers – the radishes, Chicca – the pomegranate.

Created by Disney Italy, the mascot of Expo Milano 2015 is a source of life and energy made up of a family of eleven fruits that act like real characters, each with different qualities and personalities. Reunited in a single face that resembles the portraits done by the Renaissance painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo, they represent the ideal synergy between the different countries of the world called upon to respond with strength and positivity to our planet’s challenges regarding food and nutrition.

illycaffè has decided to dedicate an entire collection to the mascot, consisting of four cups, available in both espresso and cappuccino versions, and two mugs, which will transform the coffee ritual into an experience of taste and original creativity.

The collection will be on sale starting in March 2015 in illy stores, on shop.illy.com, in illy-associated cafes and via other select channels.
